Network Integration Evaluation

The Program Executive Office Command, Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T) is the network lead organization for the Network Integration Evaluations (NIEs), a series of semi-annual field exercises designed to evaluate deliberate and rapid acquisition solutions, as well as integrate and mature the Army’s tactical network.

For the NIEs, held at White Sands Missile Range, N.M., PEO C3T integrates capabilities from our organization as well as from other PEOs and industry so they function together as an overarching network. PEO C3T continues to lay the groundwork for successful NIE events by delivering comprehensive network configuration, routing and Internet protocol information; integration interfaces between various waveforms and systems; and other key components of the network architecture. Our field support representatives are also assisting the 2nd Brigade, 1st Armored Division (2/1 AD) with troubleshooting and over-the-shoulder training.

PEO C3T systems – including Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) Increment 2, Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) and Joint Battle Command-Platform (JBC-P), and Mission Command Collapse – are crucial building blocks of the Army’s Integrated Network Baseline. PEO C3T is also supplying many other networked hardware and software systems for the NIEs. Our Project Manager for Mobile Electric Power (PM MEP) provides the power generation and environmental control necessary to keep these systems running.

The NIEs are led by a Triad of organizations: the Brigade Modernization Command (BMC), Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) and the System of Systems Integration (SoSI) Directorate of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA(ALT)).
