Mission

Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2)-Blue Force Tracking (BFT) will transform the FBCB2 capability into a Joint-centric Mission Command product at the platform level with the development of Joint Battle Command-Platform (JBC-P). JBC-P will provide integrated ground and air capabilities of Command and Control (C2) and Situational Awareness (SA), which incorporate a Type 1 encryption device (KGV-72) and BFT2, and a more robust satellite data communications system and network.

Description

JBC-P is the next generation of FBCB2/BFT. It will provide joint-centric on-the-move, digital C2 and SA to tactical combat, combat support and combat service support leaders and Warfighters. JBC-P is the primary provider and user of digital SA across the full spectrum of operations. It allows Warfighters to pass orders and graphics to visualize the commander's intent and scheme of maneuver. JBC-P is a key component of the Army and Marine Corps Battle Command Systems.

  • Increased accuracy and density of SA to further mitigate risk of fratricide
  • Dismounted forces integrated into digital common operational picture (domain most at risk of fratricide)
  • Integrated Tactical Ground Reporting (TIGR)
  • Orders, graphical overlays, Friendly, Hostile, Neutral, Unknown, non-combatant SA.
  • Free Draw, Free Text and combat messages
  • Sensor integration to enable capability to pinpoint location
  • Assists in fratricide reduction and clearance of fires
